Wtf, Facebook?
Internet | June 16, 2010

Eh? Five observations:
- The text is faded out, unlike any other news feed items.
- What is that pencil icon? I’ve never seen it before. It’s not for notes, status updates, or posted items…
- The friend whose picture accompanies this bizarre chat-log-looking thing would definitely not post anything like this.
- I googled “my username is fun girl 67.” It yielded one result — some random person looking for a “friends w/ benefits type of relationship.”
- Wtf, Facebook?
Google likes to mess with me, too. And TinyPic likes to give me the German version, even though I speak five words of German at most.
What weird bugs have you seen lately?
Tinypic changes language on me all the time. I get French, German, Spanish, some kind of Scandinavian-ish thing… it’s pretty annoying.
??? And it’s in spanish? Strange. Maybe you should report it… :S I don’t usually get bugs, just connectivity problems… did you know that FB is completely blocked in China? Ugh.
Wei-Wei
Oh, it’s supposed to be in Spanish. I set it as the language, so that’s not anything strange!
I found that out after my short trip to China — got on the internet and most of the sites I frequented were blocked. Proxies do wonders, though.
NCSoft does this to me…. goes to Korean. It shits me LOL.
But yeah, formspring also does this to me and Facebook has done the exact same thing to me that it did to you.
So I’m not the only one who gets tinypic in German! I get a different file hosting site in Japanese too for some reason. Thankfully with both sites it’s obvious how to use them anyway.
Well, Facebook always gets glitchy whenever they roll out new features, and they just rolled out the “like” feature for individual comments.
Oh wow, I hadn’t noticed that new feature, but the glitch makes slightly more sense now.
I haven’t noticed anything strange on Facebook, but it could be in part because I’m pretty much ignorant. I don’t pay attention to details, although something like that probably would have caught my attention. I would have dismissed it as spam, though. And I never would have noticed the icon. >.<'
