My new best friend for 2010
Photos | December 27, 2009
Yeah, that’s right. I have a new best friend every year. It’s my planner. For 2010, I bought myself a a large hardcover Moleskine notebook planner:

Isn’t Moley beautiful?

This is the page after the inside cover and the “in case of loss, please return to… as a reward:” page. I still haven’t figured out what to put as a reward yet. “TBD”? “Lots of love and gratitude and baked goods”?

First week begins tomorrow! Woot.

On the left is the first week that I’ll be back at school. I’ve colorcoded my classes and written what I know of my schedule thus far. On the right is the second week; I only took a picture because of the cupcake.
I’ve probably already inconsiderately picture-spammed you (sorry!), but there’s more! Keep on reading for pictures of my old planner from senior year of high school… this is sort of like a “looking back on 2009 (and a little of 2008)” post.

1) Inside cover. 2) Start of senior year of high school; notice the frowny face composed of “school” stickers. 3) The power at school went out for several days the week of my birthday, leading to a two-day school week. Score. 4) Christmas week 2008.

1) New Year’s week of 2009. Fall and winter of senior year were fraught with college applications and interviews. Ick. But my friends and I had a wonderful New Year’s Eve party. If you’re wondering what the “weekly goals” are… my friends and I used to write silly goals in each other’s planners every week. 2) The week our school orchestra went to New York to play at Carnegie Hall. Good times because a lot of my friends were in orch. 3) The aftermath of AP exams. 4) Last week of school, aww. ‘Twas a little sad.

1) Graduation week! Lots of grad parties. I watched a lot of Laguna Beach that week, no idea why. 2) A random good week from summer 2009. 3) Fourth of July week! 4) The week of the HP6 movie midnight premiere.

1) Before I left for China, my friends and I went to King’s Island. 2) The week I came back, we went again because I have a friend who works there and gets passes for free. 3) First week of college! 4) Random week where we had a yacht formal.

1) Halloween week. 2) Busy week after Halloween. 3) Last week in planner — empty because I’m going to ditch it for Moley. 4) Random “month” page in back where I wrote quotes I liked.

Collages and doodles.

More doodles.
Toodles!
I think I made my reward last year “Hugs and Cuddles” or something.
I did really well with writing everything down until I went to BC in July, then it all fell apart and I haven’t touched it since. I’m wondering if I should get one again this year, and this post is kind of making me think yes.
oh wow I am so jealous! I have a very nice agenda, but I’ve always wanted a moleskin. :] I should decorate mine though.
Pretty pretty! I’m jealous you have the red one. I wanted one, but I had to settle for black. Oh well.
That red is sexy
I pretty much love all the pages of your planner. I’m totally jealous of your creativity and artistic ability! And that random picture of Kristin made me laugh.
Wow! That’s a great looking moleskin journal. I also like how you decorated your pages; it just adds personality to it. I don’t think I’d have enough creativity to actually do that for any journal/planner. I love looking at your doodles!!!
Wow that’s gorgeous! The planner itself is absolutely lovely, but your prior doodles and collages are so creative, I’m jealous! I wish I had thought of that/somehow found the talent and time for that (my collages would look awful…) Good luck with this year’s!
I bought myself a Harry Potter planner. It makes me happy
Wow, your planner is really cool and you write a lot in it o.O I used to buy a lot of planners when I was a kids, but stopped since I never really wrote in them ><
Moleskine Academic Planners aren’t available on bookstores here so I decided to buy a red Moleskine-looking notebooks and make a DIY planner.
Wow, very nice. I never can keep up with journals or planners or things like that. I’ve resorted to those dry-erase calendars you put on your wall. It’s impossible to not see the wall by your bed, haha.
Oh and free showing of (500) Days of Summer? Lucky! That movie was awesome.
So, I’m just going to look in awe as to how cool your planner is and wish that I could do the same.
