Sushi

Spending $7.95 at the local Japanese supermarket/restaurant leads to much yumminess. My favorite is the eel; I’m still not that fond of raw fish.

I’m not that fond of raw fish… I always go for the Californian sushi rolls or the ones with just a small bit of salmon in them.
*iz wimp*
I’m not that fond of raw fish either. I’ve yet to eat sushi with raw fish in it. I’ll eat crab and smoked salmon, but that’s about it. I’m too much of a chicken to try it. They look so wonderful, though. I love looking at all the different kinds of sushi!
I don’t like raw fish. Sushi has always been my favorite food to look at. The display for them is amazing. So much so that I have also wanted to make rolls of sushi even though 90% of them I’d never try.
California rolls are great. I sometime give in to spicy tuna ones but that’s a rarity. I might try out spicy shrimp rolls though; I love shrimp so that seems easy enough for my palette.
My first biggest mistake with sushi: My friend Brian lying and telling me that wasabi was perfect to add to it and made it taste better. Yeah, well he also didn’t tell me I would feel like my brains just melted from the huge glob he put on a roll for me. I about died.
I don’t think I’ve actually tried raw fish. My mum always made Sushi with Salmon. But I can’t remember if it was raw or not.
I’ve had REAR salmon. But it was still semi cooked,
Eel? YUM! I haven’t had eel in ages! Back in my home town we used to go eeling and catch our own. Oh, to be young again. (And living near a river might help I guess too)
I love Japanese (as opposed to Korean) sushi, raw fish and all. It’s actually somewhat of a staple when I go to uni, especially when I’m tight on time and not really into thinking about what I want to eat. I’m not fond of California Rolls, which I’ve read is a Westernized version of sushi that some Japanese chef came up with to make sushi more palatable to Westerners. The crabstick and tuna and mayonaise makes me cringe like some people feel towards raw fish. But eel! Yummy.
I’m a total sushi n00b, because I really don’t like raw fish sushi. I ate it once, not knowing it was raw fish, and believe I liked the taste. But I can’t stand the idea of it, it makes me sick.
I’m sad to say I like California Rolls… a lot.
I like any sushi with cooked fish though, and that picture is quite pretty
wow, what an awesome picture! i don’t eat sashimi though, and the only sushi I eat is propbably the tuna mayonnaise one, which is really not japanese at all.. heh.
